My early days of playing saw me buskin with Ross Notaro in front of the neighborhood beer store or in any north Toronto park. At Ross' invitation I joined Patchwork Self. Not satisfied with the band's direction, I seeked out something different. A couple of months went by and I found myself in a newly formed band, Comatoast. Holding up the backbones of this sixty's phycadellic rock out fit was Mike Collinson. I was to stay and watch this band go through many phases over its nine year existence. One of the phases was "The Quickening", which saw Ross enter for a short stint. Only having played one live gig, (under the name "Comatoast) The Quickening's days were not long, but very fun and ground breaking. After seven more years of Comatoast and four years in the doldrums, I once again found myself playing in a band with Ross and Mike. From 2001 we played under a number of different names with different people. However, Mike, Ross, and myself weathered the storm up to now. This moment in time sees us together with Dave and Katie steering this band called Two Stone Throw!

Katie Newhook
-Lead Vocals / Percussion

Ross Notaro
-Songwriter, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals

Ross Notaro is a singer songwriter from Toronto Canada. He blends 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar along with passionate and powerful lyric's in his songwriting. The result is an uniquely original melodic sound of all his own. Attended Humber College for vocals where he received the General Arts certificate for music. Also attended Cambrian College for vocals and the Trebis Institute for Recorded Music Production While through out college preformed as a street musician and solo artist . Always fine tuning his craft as a songwriter and composing over 200 original compositions. Currently finds himself in 5 piece original jam band Two Stone Throw. It is here where his melodic songs provide a dynamic counter balance to the driving nature of the of a jam band . And yet the originality of his compositions allows the band to explore all the dynamic ranges. ....... hence forth .......... magic "not bad for a little guy"
